Peripatetic Music Teacher
Starting: September 2017 (although some recruitment of student sessions may be required in the summer term)

We are seeking an inspirational, enthusiastic and committed Double-Reed Teacher who can teach Oboe and Bassoon to join a pool of peripatetic teachers working with Nottingham Girls’ High School.

The successful applicant will be teaching girls of all abilities, from 4 – 18 preparing them for music exams.  Previous experience of teaching in schools and a high level of knowledge and understanding of their instrument is essential.

As a visiting teacher in school, you would deal directly with parents for payment of lessons. You will work with the school on a self-employed basis, you will not be directly employed by the school or GDST.

Safeguarding: We are committed to the safeguarding of children, and child protection screening will apply to this post.  The successful applicant will be required to subscribe to the on line DBS update service.

Bar Person (Bank Staff)
Salary: GDST Living wage currently £8.38 per hour

Job Purpose: To provide a friendly and efficient service within the bar at ‘the space’.  To dispense orders accurately and with courtesy to agreed standards.

Hours of work:  As part of the bank staff, you would be employed on a casual basis, subject to work and your own availability.  The hours will be flexible and include evenings and weekends.

Safeguarding:  Nottingham Girls’ High School is committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. The post holder will be required to keep their DBS certificate up to date and information will be provided on this.
