Education is much more than the academic. It’s also preparing your daughter for the world beyond school, for her to have a positive impact on the community.
At NGHS, we maintain strong links with businesses, charities, volunteering organisations and state schools. It’s the perfect way to bring learning outside the classroom and inspire girls to think of their future roles in the world.
Our community outreach programme, Reach Out, gives us the opportunity to work closely with local primary schools throughout the year to design and deliver various academic and creative events.
We run local and national fundraising campaigns for charities, where the girls and staff find creative ways to raise money for good causes and volunteer their time to make a positive impact on the wider community.
Our girls learn leadership, commitment and teamwork throughout our volunteering programme, vInspired, and our school is recognised with prestigious awards and international certificates.
Our work experience programme allows the girls to work with local, national and global businesses to gain invaluable career advice and experience life after education.
One of my best memories of Sixth Form has to be the Senior Citizens’ Christmas Party last year. All of Year 12 got together to put on a big party with cakes, presents, carols and even glasses of sherry for our senior citizens. It was so rewarding to see how much they enjoyed it and we all had a really nice time! – Year 13 girl
