Reach Out is a community partnership and outreach initiative committed to inspiring achievement in children and young people.
Our provision promotes soft skills including teamwork, negotiation and listening and works to raise attainment across academic, creative and enrichment subjects through innovative and engaging workshops.
Designed with primary core subjects in mind, our provision includes STEM, computing, the arts, outdoor learning, learning support and business and enterprise.
Reach Out gives our Senior and Sixth Form girls the opportunity to take-up leadership roles as ambassadors for the school working with children of various ability, encouraging positive attitudes to learning and promoting girls in education.
I developed my confidence communicating and working with children of younger ages, which is something I don’t often do. Also the organisation skills we needed when helping out and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Year 12 NGHS student volunteer

I really enjoyed today. Everything was good and I especially like: making the sparklers making the lava-lamps, and seeing the animals. The teachers were really good and so were the helpers in chemistry. Thank you for a day of fun. Year 4 pupil, Gilthill School
All of the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and gained a lot through mixing with and supporting the two other schools that attended with us. Children that wouldn’t normally lead/encourage others came out of their shell, which was fantastic to watch. Year 5 teacher, Arnold Mill Primary
