Aimed at Parents, Grandparents, Child-minders and Carers, ‘My First Cinema’ has been designed to give young children their very first cinema or theatre experience in a calm, welcoming and relaxed environment.

Whether your little one loves watching their favourite characters at home or you’re looking to introduce them to the magic of the big screen, My First Cinema is a gentle, pressure-free first step.

What is special about this event?

• Free to attend – tickets MUST be booked
• A selection of popular children’s TV episodes suitable for under 5s.
• Lights will be dimmed rather than completely dark, so children can still see their surroundings.
• A free-flow session where children are welcome to move around, chat, laugh and enjoy themselves at their own pace.
• No expectations to sit still or be quiet. This is a judgement-free space for little ones to explore a new environment.
• Feel free to bring anything that helps your child feel comfortable, whether that’s a favourite blanket, pillow, comforter or ear defenders.
• Friendly staff on hand throughout the session if you need any help.
• A wonderful opportunity to build confidence before a first trip to the cinema or theatre.
