Senior School Taster Day

The best way to find out about our Senior School is to spend a day here, doing what we do every day at one of our Year 5 Taster Days!

A day unlike any other open event, where you’ll experience that special NGHS atmosphere and what makes this such a perfect place for girls to learn. And we were especially delighted to be named as finalists in the Independent School of the Year Awards 2023 in two categories including Independent Girls’ School of the Year.

If your daughter is currently in Year 5, and you’re looking for a school that offers exceptional teaching and learning in a challenging yet fun and friendly environment, then we’d like to invite you to our Taster Day on Friday 5 July 2024 between 8:30am and 3:30pm.

You may find that you’re greeted by Saffy, our Senior School dog who loves to welcome visitors. There will be refreshments available and you’ll then be able to hear from our Head, Julie Keller, and have a tour of the school while your daughter sets off to take part in a range of exciting and educational lessons including an ice-breaker percussion session, where all the girls will get to know each other and make friends. There’ll be interactive lessons in a variety of subjects, delicious lunch in our Dining Hall, and the day will end with our epic, outdoor extravaganza featuring fire-pit toasted marshmallows and campfire songs. What’s not to love!

Approximate timings:

• 8.30am – Arrival and refreshments in the Squire Performing Arts Centre
• 9am – Welcome from our Head, Mrs Julie Keller
• 9.30 – 11.00am – Parent tours around the school with our staff and Prefect team
• 11.00am onwards – Parents leave
• 3.15pm – Parents to collect from Upnah Wood, behind the 1875 Sports Centre
