Students AND staff at Nottingham Girls’ High School really love their Astronomy, and we’re especially lucky to have our very own in-house astronomer, Mr Barrett.

Mr Barrett has held special Space Days and exhibitions at the school on several occasions, and has also set up his telescope on the school field for special events like the solar eclipse.

This particular event for our Year 5 and 6 girls is going to be really exciting! They’re going to learn all about the moon and its origins, engage is some fun outdoor activities including a campfire and hopefully some stargazing (fingers crossed for the weather). Then they’re going to have a sleepover in school!

It’s sure to be a great evening with lots of staff on hand to keep the girls safe, educated and entertained.
