Julie Keller – Head
Julie is our ultimate expert in girls’ education. She has overall responsibility for the strategic leadership of Nottingham Girls’ High School. She knows the school’s core values inside out and distills them into a strong vision she shares with the rest of the school.
Katrina Handford-Smith – Deputy Head
Katrina works closely with Julie to support and implement the school’s vision. She makes sure its success remains consistent, progressive and dynamic. We’ve got her to thank for our exceptional pastoral care and the girls’ happiness and wellbeing.
Laura Fowler – Head of Junior School
Laura continuously pushes for academic excellence and innovation to drive the Junior School forward. She works in conjunction with the Junior School team to carry through the school’s vision and core values.
Jeremy Dunn – Director of Finance and Operations
Jeremy keeps the school’s finances running smoothly. He also supports other functions including estates coordination, administration, ICT support, facilities, catering, admissions and development.
James Brown – Assistant Head, Teaching and Learning (maternity cover)
James is responsible for our successful teaching and learning strategy and supports the key groups involved in excellence, as well as overseeing the Senior extra-curricular programme, and being Head of the English Faculty. He also works in all areas related to staff and performance, ensuring our provision remains at the top of its game.
Marc Mole – Assistant Head, Curriculum and Assessment (maternity cover)
Marc makes sure we always provide a vibrant and progressive curriculum to meet the needs of all our girls. He takes care of the timetable and the use of assessment system data to produce reports and grades. Exams and parents’ evenings also come under his expert guidance.
Erin Skelton – Assistant Head, Head of Sixth Form
Erin looks after our Sixth Form, making sure that it’s a desirable place to be and to stay, through its academic and pastoral provision including help with Oxbridge applications and careers matters. She is also responsible for enrichment programmes, giving our girls the opportunities to complement their academic achievements. Erin promotes the school’s charity and volunteering work too, keeping close links with businesses and other schools for a stronger, more supportive community.
