New Nursery opening September 2019

13th March 2019

We are incredibly excited to announce the launch of our new Nursery provision for girls aged 3 from September 2019.

Our expertise in girls’ education currently starts with our Reception classes at the Infant and Junior School with girls joining us from the age of 4. After much research, discussion with our parent community and consultation with the GDST, we are delighted to be able to offer the same level of expertise from September 2019 to girls aged 3 in our exciting, new Nursery.

The aim is to provide a fun, happy, safe environment for girls to develop their confidence, skills and love of learning, through a mixture of self-directed and teacher-led activities, preparing girls for a seamless transition into Reception classes, as well as building confidence and skills for life beyond school such as:

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical
  • Personal, Social and Emotional
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

These will be delivered by our expert staff with additional specialist activities from languages to food technology and outdoor learning in our on-site woodland; it’s all very exciting and we can’t wait to welcome a new generation of young NGHS starters in September.

Our close relationship and teamwork with parents ensures that everybody who matters is kept in the loop at all times, and there will be so many exciting things happening at school for them to come and be involved in, seeing their daughters enjoy themselves as they progress.

Many of our sister GDST schools already have nurseries and we’re very proud to join them, offering the very best in girls’ education from as young an age as possible. Once the seed is sown, the love of learning grows and flourishes into something very special, and we’re very keen to get started. You can see more details about our Nursery on the school website here. Exciting times!
