The autumn-term is always the most eventful at Nottingham Girls.

Especially when it comes to music and the performing arts, all the way from our youngest pupils in the Nursery to our most accomplished musicians and singers in the Sixth Form, everybody has an opportunity to take to the stage. And this starts long before the festive season takes hold with such events as the Windblowers Cup competitions, our autumn concerts, and the legendary Rough Trade gigs.

It is Christmas however, that brings out the best in our school performances which delight parents and guests, and also raise money for charity. Our Nativity was the sweetest display of burgeoning confidence as our youngest pupils took to the stage for the first time.

Our EYFS Nativity takes to the stage.

Our busking events involved pupils of all ages  and raised over £800 for the PASIC charity which is dear to our hearts. And all of our seasonal concerts were an absolute delight and a true showcase of musical excellence and talent from across the school in such beautiful settings as All Saint’s Church and St Mary’s Church in the Lace Market for our Carol Service on the last day of term.

Mr Rolfe, as ever,  has put together a compilation of some of the music from the autumn-term, capturing the essence of what we do so well and concluding with our Carol Service. It’s been an epic term and we’ve really enjoyed it and hope all of our parents have too. There is still so much to come in the spring – watch this space!
