We had lots of visitors and the most fun and exciting day on Friday 14 November!
NGHS Nursery & Pre-School Relaunch
It may have been a horrible and wet day outside, but inside it was warm and fuzzy as we welcomed lots of families (including assorted Teddy Bears and other cuddly toys) to our lovely Nursery & Pre-School relaunch event.
When everybody had the chance to say hello and get settled, it was time for some stories with Ms Taylor from our library.

Everyone enjoyed hearing some Teddy Bear themed stories before hearing from Mrs Fowler, our Head of Nursery, Pre-School, Infant and Junior School, and making use of the facilities in our Nursery classroom. Painting, building, getting messy, making friends and having fun was the order of the day.

Onwards then to a heartwarming performance by our Tiny Voices choir in the Junior Hall. Accompanied by Mrs Keys on the piano, our youngest singers entertained our visitors with some wonderful and enthusiastic songs which everybody enjoyed very much.

And as it was a Teddy Bear’s Picnic event (coinciding nicely with Children in Need of course) there was a delicious buffet lunch laid on in our Dining Hall. Sandwiches, fruit, juice, cake and more were tucked into before everybody made their way back over to the Nursery for a photo opportunity with our special bear before heading home.

This was such a lovely event which was much more than just a chance to have fun, it was an opportunity to find out more about the excellent provision for our youngest pupils. Our school has already seen success and been recognised in our Independent School’s Inspection Report in 2024 and we’re very proud of what we offer. So much potential is recognised at such a young age, so much energy and enthusiasm harnessed and nurtured as the girls move up the school, confident, happy and therefore ultimately successful.
