Philanthropy
The NGHS community is full of passionate individuals who help us with their time, energy and donations. We are so grateful for their support which makes such a difference to our girls.
Bursaries – Her future. Your gift.
We are extremely grateful for any donations we receive, and our main aim is to enable more girls to benefit from an NGHS education via our bursary programme. By donating to our Bursary Fund, you will help to support future generations to learn without limits and to go on to give back to the world.
All gifts are processed by the Girls’ Day School Trust (charity number 306983) and are allocated directly to the school. 100% of every donation, including Gift Aid, will go directly to our girls.
The simplest way to make a gift is online via the GDST secure online donations page here but if you would like to talk to anyone first, or if you need any assistance, please email FriendsofNGHS@not.gdst.net

The Bursary Fund
Every year, many of the area’s brightest girls are unable to access the education they desire due to financial constraints. The Bursary Fund enables us to provide these girls with our incredible education by covering their school fees. With your help, we can help more girls benefit from an NGHS education, become leaders, and change the world for the better. If you are able to support us through fundraising activities or a financial contribution, please do get in touch, every pound you donate will make a difference.
The Bursary has allowed my daughter to have the best of opportunities in not only academic but extra-curricular activities that I wouldn’t be able to afford.Parent
The Opportunities Fund
The Opportunities Fund continues to provide support to girls who are on a bursary at school, enabling them specifically to access our Outdoor Learning provision and take part in excursions. We know this has a positive impact on their development including building confidence, resilience, teamwork and hopefully a lifelong love of the outdoors. Many girls have already been able to access financial support to attend trips which make memories that last a lifetime, such as the Bushcraft trip in Year 7 and even completion of their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award in Year 9. Every donation helps these girls so if you are able to contribute we would greatly appreciate it. The girls truly benefit from this and our parents really value this fund.
This is wonderful news, and so incredibly generous! I can assure you, it means the world to us.Parent
The School Projects Fund
This important fund enables us to support girls and maximise their opportunities through purchasing additional equipment and resources. For example, if we need a new piece of equipment for a Duke of Edinburgh expedition or musical instrument for a particular musical production, the School Projects Fund enables us to purchase these items. We’ve already been able to provide a canopy for Upnah Wood, a grand piano and a rowing boat and new oars. We are grateful to have this fund which is built by our donors through regular fundraising activities. Every contribution, large or small, adds up to help us provide the very best opportunities for our girls.
The Donor Tree
To say thank you to our kind donors, our stunning Donor Tree takes pride of place in the Squire Performing Arts Centre, and is a beautiful way to show our appreciation of the continued support of our donors. Purchasing a leaf is a popular way for our supporters to make a donation.
If you would like to buy a leaf on the tree there are four different leaves to choose from depending on your donation. Simply choose a leaf and we will engrave it with your name, or any name, message or dedication you choose.
Every pound makes a difference. If you are able to make a donation, please complete the online form here. Don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box to maximise your donation, as this adds an extra 25% to your donation with no extra cost to you.
