Welcome to Nottingham Girls’ High School, where girls learn without limits.

With continued phenomenal reports for both academic achievement and personal development by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) and with a glowing review from the Good Schools Guide, we are a girls’ school with a difference.

Last year we were delighted to be Finalists in the Independent Schools of the Year 2023 awards in the ‘Independent Girls’ School of the Year’ category, and have once again been shortlisted for the same award this year.

We’re shaping a new style of education that smashes stereotypes and gives girls an extraordinary start to their futures. Pupils achieve excellent academic results, driven by modern teaching methods that are proven to support long term success and wellbeing.

You’ll see on our EXAM RESULTS PAGE that our exam results are always superb. This is because our pupils’ educational journey is designed to inspire at each stage.

Academic stretch is delivered through fast paced and collaborative lessons. Pupils are challenged to be passionate about their subjects, to speak up, act independently and develop strong work ethics that will last throughout their lives.  NGHS pupils love learning and they achieve extraordinary success.
