Another successful alumnae reunion event took place on Saturday 25 November with groups of alumnae and some former staff returning to the school.

It was a fantastic day as our alumnae tucked into lunch and looked through our archives and their own photographs, sharing their stories and memories of schooldays past. They then enjoyed tours of the school, parts of which have changed a lot since they were last here, and others which were sentimentally familiar.

Our Sixth Form helpers did a great job of chatting to our guests and showing them around some of their old haunts, and exploring some new ones too. Take a look at our photo gallery from the day:

We had some lovely feedback about the day too – thank you all so much, we really do appreciate it and you’re always welcome to come back any time.

“I had not visited the school since 2000, and I was just amazed to see so many new buildings!! The current pupils have so many opportunities, but we did too and I have always appreciated that. I would not have wanted to go to any other school. I must try to attend more of the alumnae reunions!”
Regards, Rae Hold (Rachel Foster 1961).

“Thank you Aisling for making it such a successful day yesterday, particularly for the 73 year olds who attended. I hope we didn’t seem to be an awkward, unruly lot, but we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We were most  impressed with The Space. Will you please thank the girls who took us round and were so patient with us.”  Regards, Judith (Milnes, nee Thomas).

“Once more, thanks so much for a lovely day on Saturday and particular thanks to the Sixth Formers who gave a precious Saturday up to herd the 1992 rabble around the site. We all had the most lovely time – in part wallowing in nostalgia, in part catching up with each other and in part realising the spirit of the school we had such a start at still burns brightly.” Sarah Tyner (Jones) 1992.
