A series of ‘It’s in Nottingham’ festive activities, organised on Bridlesmith Gate by the Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) and local retailers, has raised over £700 for Nottingham charity PASIC – Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children.

The University of Nottingham Brass Band and the Nottingham Girls’ High School Buskers entertained Christmas shoppers with festive tunes and songs. Visitors to the area were also treated to mulled wine, Prosecco, mince pies, Christmas treats, giveaways, discounts and offers from various retailers as well as a competition to win a £500 shopping spree with Ted Baker. In addition The Tokenhouse provided a gift wrapping service in return for a donation to PASIC.

Their enthusiasm did not wane and I am immensely proud of all of them for the empathy and commitment that they have shown to helping PASIC – a charity extremely close to this school’s heart.” said Laura Fowler, Head of the Junior School at Nottingham Girls’ High School.
