There’s a lot of amazing vocal and musical talent here at Nottingham Girls’ High School, and the Windblowers Cup Final is a great way to acknowledge this.

Our brilliant girls took to the stage and performed their very best in each of their categories before an appreciative audience, and an influential adjudicating panel. Our special guest judge was renowned baritone René Bloice-Sanders MA LRAM who had alongside him Margaret Frogson MBE who is the co-owner of Windblowers, and Peter Beaumont who is General Manager.

They could not fail to be impressed by the level and quality of musical talent on show and really enjoyed the evening. Every girl put in an outstanding performance and judging was not easy, but their had to be winners in each category so after much deliberation the results were as follows:

Well done Aimee – our strings category winner

Take a bow Lotus – winner in the vocal category.

There is always an award for the best House group too, and this year the prize went to Hastings, so well done to the girls in Hastings House, including two of our individual category winners no less. What a fabulous evening! Thanks go to our panel of judges and to everybody involved in putting the event together. We can’t wait until next year!
