During February half-term our Year 10 Mathematicians were treated to a fantastic trip to explore the Maths and Science of Paris, and Disneyland of course!

During a few days of mixed weather conditions, our Year 10 girls and accompanying staff enjoyed some amazing experiences. They visited not just the traditional tourist destinations like the Eiffel Tower and the River Seine, but also the fascinating Cité des Sciences for some hands-on maths fun.

Year 10 Maths trip to Paris

The girls had to work hard, applying maths to famous Parisian landmarks, spotting rotational symmetry in the beautiful windows of Sacre Coeur as an example, and working through their workbooks as they went around. They also got to see amazing panoramic views from the top of Montparnasse Tower, and of course had a visit to Disneyland as an extra treat.

It was a great trip and they all had a brilliant time, as you can see from the photos. What a great way to enhance the teaching and learning of Maths.
