The spring half-term break provided a very special opportunity for some of our Junior School pupils as they set off with five staff members across the channel to France.
A group of 42 excited Year 5 and 6 pupils headed off to perform in a concert they had been selected for at Disneyland Paris along with a concert in central Paris too. The girls performed beautifully in front of a huge and appreciative audience. Accompanying staff including the legendary Mr Rolfe were thrilled to receive so many compliments and comments from all over the world on the standard and professionalism of the girls and their performances. The group bumped into fellow pupils from Croydon High School GDST who were next on the bill at Disneyland and spent some lovely time with them. They also enjoyed all of the tourist sights of Paris with expert commentary from Mr Cox on the coach, and of course managed some fun free time at the many attractions on offer plus some retail therapy.
This whole trip demonstrates the strength of Junior music at NGHS and the commitment of the school and staff to stretch the girls and do magical things. See some highlights at the video below:
