Careers advice throughout the year

Joining us from January 2021 we welcome Miss Laura Robinson who takes over from Mrs Hansford. Here, she introduces herself:

“Since graduating nearly 12 years ago with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from Nottingham Trent University I have worked in various sectors including finance, marketing and education. I have spent the last three years working at the University of Nottingham based within the Medical School. My role involved working within one of the school’s undergraduate degree programmes to assist students with their personal development and future career aspirations. I advised students on a one to one basis on potential career paths, facilitated work experience and yearlong placements as well as professional development courses they wished to undertake.

I can’t wait to start working at Nottingham Girls’ High School and I am excited to meet the girls and help them in their future careers.”

So from careers talks by inspirational alumnae to mock interviews, we’ve got everything covered and something for every girl, whatever her plans may be. We look forward to working with Miss Robinson as we help our girls to fulfil their dreams.
